LinkedIn Profiles & Updating
Although LinkedIn is a Social Media platform, don’t confuse it with Facebook…
Any posts you publish to LinkedIn will be seen by potential Employers. Unless it will strengthen your “BRAND”, think carefully before posting.
LinkedIn is by Wikipedia’s definition, “a business and employment-oriented service that operates via websites and mobile apps. It is mainly used for professional networking, including employers posting jobs and job seekers posting their CV's.
As of October 2018, LinkedIn had 590 million registered members in 200 countries, out of which more than 250 million active users.
The basic functionality of LinkedIn allows users (workers and employers) to create profiles, which for employees typically consist of a CV describing their work experience, education and training, skills, and a personal photo.”
The purpose of LinkedIn is to NETWORK and make CONNECTIONS.
Although there is a school of thought that LinkedIn has been taken over by Recruiters, that is not necessarily the case. It’s a platform that Recruiters and Employers utilise when looking for Talent.
As a Job Seeker, it makes perfect sense to jump on the LinkedIn train and BE SEEN – and BE FINDABLE!
Think about it…
A Recruiter or Employer uses LinkedIn to FIND you…
Which is why you need to understand or have someone who knows how to OPTOMISE your LinkedIn Profile. Search Engine Optimisation is something we cover under our Job Seeker Services menu. LinkedIn Search Engine works the same as Google, which means that the Content matters.
If a Recruiter or Employer does a Search in LinkedIn, the Content of your Profile is what will get you noticed.
Ask yourself, how can I be seen? How can I compete?
That's where we come in...

It's really as simple as that...
